v0.1.0
Hello, Awan
The first build of Awan, a little cloud that lives in your Mac's notch. You hold a hotkey and talk, it looks at your screen and answers out loud, and it can hand bigger jobs to agents that keep working while you do something else. It's a private beta, so expect rough edges, and tell us about them.
Talk
- Hold Control + Option and ask. Awan takes one screenshot of what you're looking at, answers out loud, and lets go of the screenshot once it has answered.
- It points. The cursor buddy flies to the thing it's talking about, and can circle or underline it so you know where to click.
- Type instead. Double-tap Control to ask in text, for when you're somewhere you can't talk.
- Realtime voice. A back-and-forth voice mode for when one question turns into a conversation.
Dictation
- Hold Control + fn to dictate into any text box, or double-tap for hands-free. Your words are cleaned up before they're typed.
Awans (agents)
- Make an Awan by having a short chat. Each one gets a name, a character, an intro and a few suggested first asks.
- Send it work by voice or text. Progress shows up as it goes, and finished work comes back as cards you can open.
- Skills, computer use and your own connectors. Agents can work inside your Mac's apps, and use tools you plug in through an MCP server or an API key.
- Routines and morning suggestions. Put a job on a schedule, and get a few ideas for your Awans each morning.
Notch & Home
- A home in the notch. Hover to peek at your Awans and their latest updates; open Home for the full list, chats and settings.
Account
- Sign in with an email link. Your sign-in is kept in the macOS Keychain.
- Free, Pro and Max plans, with limits counted on our server. Payments run in test mode during the beta, so nobody is charged yet.
- Invite & earn. Every account gets a link at awan.ffdev.studio/@yourname. See the referral terms.
